Kids are a big part of our world here in eastern Oklahoma, and our RV community celebrates them! But when you’re ready to get out and about, here are some great destinations, attractions, and activities nearby to entertain your brood.

Greenleaf State Park
Located just 13 miles northwest of Marval RV, Greenleaf is one of seven original Oklahoma state parks, and just happens to be its most family-oriented and scenic. There is a beach for swimming in Greenleaf Lake, a fishing dock, an amphitheater, nature center, reunion center, playground, hiking trails, volleyball, and basketball courts. For fishing families, a children’s pond is stocked with rainbow trout for winter visitors, and those under 16 years of age can catch their limit of 3 fish per day with no permit or charge. It is also great for wildlife viewing, holiday events, and boating on the lake.

Three Rivers Museum
Thirty miles northwest in Muskogee, OK is this amazing museum located in Muskogee’s Historic Depot District. It tells a fascinating tale of the history of the Three Rivers region that is entertaining for all ages, mostly due to the area’s colorful past. But more importantly of interest to the little ones might be the 1940s-era diesel switch engine train where kids can climb aboard.

Brushy Lake State Park
28 miles east of the Marval resort is another fantastic park situated perfectly in the scenic Cookson Hills, full of wooded seclusion. Along with fishing and boating, family-centric get-togethers are easy with day-use picnic areas supplied with grills, group shelters with electrical outlets, and playgrounds.

Jenks Planetarium
Just an hour away from the resort, the Tulsa suburb of Jenks is a great place to take the family on a short road trip. Located on the 3rd floor of the Dr. Kirby A. Lehman Center for the Study of Math and Science Center on the Jenks High School Campus, the planetarium is a chance for the family to explore the night sky. Supplied by a 50-foot dome, it is the ultimate in viewing the planets up close, flying to far-away galaxies, and for rediscovering our planet. Be sure to check their website for current events and to make reservations.

Oklahoma Aquarium
Oklahoma Aquarium is also located in Jenks. It is a local treasure, and tons of fun for the kids to explore. See sea turtles and sharks, jellyfish and mud-skippers, with a wide variety of beautiful and bizarre-looking fish. And that’s just the beginning. Be sure to check out the website for the newest exhibits which change on a regular basis.

Safari Joe’s H2O
In Tulsa and only an hour’s drive from the resort. So much to do! Make a splash with your kids and treat them to the best waterpark in Oklahoma. Its claim to fame is the Master Blaster water coaster, and the biggest wave pool in the Southwest (producing four different wave patterns). Other big draws are the lazy river, thrilling flume rides, a kiddie pool, food and beverage concessions, and gift shop.

Bounce U
If you’re looking to make the day extra special for your little ones in Tulsa, this indoor playground packed full of inflatable fun is perfect for the special birthday or event in your child’s life. Private parties are available in which the space is reserved for you and your group only, making for a memorable day. Don’t want a private party?
